“This CD is part of a series call "Mind, Body and Soul". We have reviewed Goodall's independent works before, very favourably I might add. Since this music was specifically composed for this series, it is more focused on the meditative aspects of the listening experience than on the artist's compositional or playing skills. Having been through some (pretty extensive) therapy myself (long, long ago in another world), I can say that this would "meet the need".
You should remember that the compositions are introspective and enchanting. They should be used to enhance contemplation of life and the living. I give them a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, particularly for therapists (in any discipline) needing something that will relax a patient to the point where the inner beauty can be easily explored. GREAT music!”
This delightful recording is a celebration of nature. Her magical beauty has been exquisitely and uniquely captured in two musical sequences (Part 1 tracks 1-9, Part 2 track 10) composed by Medwyn Goodall. The music of part one of this recording has been specially composed to take you on a beautiful visual musical journey to the paradise within, and both parts can be used for your pure listening enjoyment.
The visualisation itself is based on an ancient Hawaiian belief that life is made up of seven components which are essential to our existence and well being. These are Fire - and the Sun, Water, Air and Wind, Earth and Stone, Plants, Animals and Human Beings - or a loving touch. Each component was said to have its very own specific function and possess unique life giving and healing qualities, as well as symbolic meaning. It was this ancient belief (which still holds true today) and my deep connection with nature that inspired me to create this visual meditation for you. If you have been busy rushing around and your energy is depleted, give yourself the gift of time for unwinding, relaxing and healing.
During a visualisation meditation we use our imagination for the purpose of creating positive mental images of a perfect sanctuary or even a desired state or goal. By focussing our awareness on that imagined environment, goal or event and experiencing it with all our senses, we access that part of ourselves that assists us with the creation of what we desire. It is known that whatever we think about ourselves, our life or about others, affects us physically and emotionally. Supported by captivating music, the purpose of this recording is to help you to produce positive mental images or thoughts, which will calm, relax and energise you.
They don't really push the fact that Medwyn Goodall is the composer of this CD. By looking at the back cover you would think that Cornelia Glynn was the composer but she is the person who wrote the 8 page booklet that comes with this CD. This booklet is designed to support the use of this CD for meditation and visualisation. I believe her ideas in the booklet will get you started, but over time you will probably develop your own way of using your imagination while in tune with each element (eg. Water) from ancient Hawaiian belief.
This CD can be used for relaxation music, but I think it comes into its own when used as intended for visualisation. I say this because the music is so captivating and rolling, with so many different sounds. It seems to encourage you to imagine, which is probably what was intended by the artist! ”

God designed men to be dangerous, says John Eldredge. Simply look at the dreams and desires written in the heart of every boy: To be a hero, to be a warrior, to live a life of adventure and risk. Sadly, most men abandon those dreams and desires-aided by a Christianity that feels like nothing more than pressure to be a "nice guy." It is no wonder that many men avoid church, and those who go are often passive and bored to death. In this provocative book, Eldredge gives women a look inside the true heart of a man and gives men permission to be what God designed them to be-dangerous, passionate, alive, and free.

This book offers new translations of the Tiruppavai and Nacciyar Tirumoli, composed by the ninth-century Tamil mystic and poetess Kotai. Two of the most significant compositions by a female mystic, the Tiruppavai and Nacciyar Tirumoli give expression to her powerful experiences through the use of a vibrant and bold sensuality, in which Visnu is her awesome, mesmerizing, and sometimes cruel lover. Kotai's poetry is characterized by a richness of language in which words are imbued with polyvalence and even the most mundane experiences are infused with the spirit of the divine. Her Tiruppavai and Nacciyar Tirumoli are garlands of words, redolent with meanings waiting to be discovered. Today Kotai is revered as a goddess, and as a testament to the enduring relevance of her poetry, her Tiruppavai and Nacciyar Tirumoli continue to be celebrated in South Indian ritual, music, dance, and the visual arts.
This book aims to capture the lyricism, beauty, and power of Kotai's original works. In addition, detailed notes based on traditional commentaries, and discussions of the ritual and performative lives of the Tiruppavai and Nacciyar Tirumoli highlight the importance of this ninth-century poet and her two poems over the past one thousand years.
Provocative and immensely well informed, The Order of Things represents a substantial and original contribution to the fields of systematic theology, historical theology, and the science and religion dialogue. Leading theologian, Alister E. McGrath explores how the working methods and assumptions of the natural sciences can be used to inform and stimulate systematic theology.
* Written by one of today's best-known Christian writers
* Explores how the working methods and assumptions of the natural sciences can be used to inform and stimulate systematic theology
* Continues McGrath’s acclaimed exploration of scientific theology, begun with his groundbreaking three-volume work, A Scientific Theology
* Includes a landmark extended analysis of whether doctrinal development can be explained using Darwinian evolutionary models, and exploration of how the transition from a “scientific theology” to a future “scientific dogmatics” might be made
* Supported by a published review of McGrath’s scientific theology project, which is currently the best brief introduction to his thought.
Tantra is a religious philosophy according to which Shakti is usually the main deity worshipped, and the universe is regarded as the divine play of Shakti and Shiva. Shakti is the consort of the male expression of the divine, while Shiva is the supreme God of the universe.
Tantra deals primarily with spiritual practices and ritual forms of worship, which aim at liberation from ignorance and rebirth. Tantrism has influenced the Hindu, Bön, Buddhist, and Jain religious traditions. Tantra in its various forms has existed in India, Nepal, China, Japan, Tibet, Korea, Cambodia, Burma, Indonesia and Mongolia.
Tantra has also been defined as: “A quest for spiritual perfection and magical power. Its purpose is to achieve complete control of oneself, and of all the forces of nature, in order to attain union with the cosmos and with the divine. Long training is generally required to master Tantric methods, into which pupils are typically initiated by a guru.”
The elements of Tantra are found in the Atharvaveda and, in a lesser degree, in the Rgveda. These relate to the mundane life of the people, and reflect their aspirations for material well-being. We see, in them, how people wanted to have long life, keep off diseases and thwart the activities of ghosts, supposed to cause harm to them. Magic, both beneficial to themselves and harmful to their enemies, figures prominently.
In course of time, side by side with the elitist works, Tantras having a populist appeal came to be composed. It seems that Tantras arose as a protest against the traditional scriptures which insisted on self-mortification and austerities, etc. as means to the attainment of emancipation of the soul from the bondage of rebirths. In doing so, they prescribed rituals which were denied to women and the Sudras who were in the lowest rung of the social ladder.
1. Ik (Ek) Ong Kar Sat Naam Siri Wha(he) Guru - is the Adi Shakti Mantra, and it is very powerful for awakening Kundalini and suspending the mind in bliss. Ek means "One, the essence of all", Ong is the primal vibration from which all creativity flows, Kar is "creation", Sat "truth", Nam "name" Siri "great", Wha "ecstasy," and Guru is "wisdom". Taken together it means, "There is one Creator whose name is Truth. Great is the ecstasy of that Supreme Wisdom"!
2. Ich Bin Du
3. Ik (Ek) Ong Kar Sat Guru Prasad - is the Magic Mantra so named for its power and sacredness. It is usually chanted in reverse (Ek Ong Kar, Sat Gur Prasad, Sat Gur Prasad, Ek Ong Kar). Many pages are devoted to the explanation of this mantra and we are warned to chant it in reverence. It means, "There is one Creator - Truth revealed through Guru's grace".
4. Aad Gureh Nameh... - is the Mangala Charn Mantra, and is chanted for protection. It surroundsthe magnetic field with protective light, and means "I bow to the primal Guru (guiding consciousness who takes us to God-Realization), I bow to wisdom through the ages, I bow to True Wisdom, I bow to the great, unseen wisdom."
6. Wahe Guru, Wahe Jio (Jeeo) - is the Guru Mantra. It is the mantra of the complete and total Infinity of ecstasy, the experience of coming from the darkness to the light. The word Jeeo sends the message directly to the soul. "O my soul, God is!"
7. Ang Sang Wahe Guru - This mantra expresses a universal truth. Repeating it creates a thought, which gradually guides the psyche to adjust itself. It re-connects every fragmented projection of the psyche, each separated part of the body, and synchronizes the finite sense of self to the Infinite Oneness. This act of rejoining the separated parts is the quintessential act of healing. Under attack, under war, under the pressures of fear, this meditation keeps us together, conscious, and ready to act. It brings the inner peacefulness that comes only from the touch and scope of spirit.
Many beginners find it difficult or impossible to make the initial link with a spirit. Donald Tyson wrote Familiar Spirits in response to repeated requests for an effective technique that does not require expertise in formal ritual, astrology, or the Kabbalah. Here he unveils his unique system for generating spirit sigils based on a set of symbols called power glyphs.
Demiurge is a force that you can influence it to make your wish come true. Prana, astral light, universal subconscious are other name for Demiurge.

"The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn was the cornerstone of all modern occultism, but from the very moment of its foundation in 1887 its true nature and even its history have been the subject of fierce debate.
Much has been written on its history, rituals and influence, but much of the tale remains to be told. In this clear and concise account of the Order the story is brought to completion. For the first time the Order's Historical Lecture (written by its founder, W. Wynn Westcott) is printed in full from a previously unknown manuscript. The whole text of the famous 'Anna Sprengel' letters is given in a new translation, and the turbulent history of the Order up to its dissolution in 1914 is recounted with the aid of new material from both privately printed and manuscript sources."
